Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein, the noble scientist of 20th century, changed the world with his profound and varied inventions and principles. He is well known for his brilliant contributions in the field of physics and in particular, famous for the theory of relativity. Einstein took a massive step to begin revolution in human understanding of light, the atom- smallest particle of an element, time, space, motion and matter. As a scientist, Albert Einstein contributed into the four major areas of science respectively Light, Time, Gravity, and Energy. In 1933, he joined the...(see below)

Albert Einstein

US (German-born) physicist (1879 - 1955)

staff of the newly created Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. He accepted this position for life, living there until his death. Einstein is probably familiar to most people for his mathematical equation about the nature of energy, E=MC2. The Special Theory of Relativity presents new theories of time, distance, mass, and energy, which were all constant with electromagnetism (Friedman).

Freudian Psychology

Freudian Psychology is a form of psychotherapy used by qualified psychotherapists to treat patients who have a range of mild to moderate chronic life problems. It is related to a specific body of theories about the relationships between conscious and unconscious mental processes, and should not be used as a synonym for psychotherapy in general. Psychoanalysis is done one-on-one with the patient and the analyst; it is not appropriate for group work.

Good looking and smart, what are the chances? Sigmund Freud-1921
Sigmund Freud was a Viennese physician that created the Freudian Psychoanalysis, in which he dedicated his life to studying. Freudian Psychoanalysis studies the behavior determined by the unconscious mind, impulses, and desires. Freudian Psychology is the most intensive form of an approach to treatment called psychodynamic therapy. Psychodynamic refers to a view of human personality that results from interactions between conscious and unconscious factors. The purpose of all forms of psychodynamic treatment is to bring unconscious mental material and processes into full consciousness so that the patient can gain more control over his or her life (Kazlev).

Technology/Radio and Movies

KDKA (1020 AM) is a CBS-owned radio station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that was the first commercially licensed radio station in the United States , a distinction that has also been challenged by other radio stations, although nearly all of the principal challengers for pioneer status are also owned and operated by CBS.

The importance of radio in propaganda is they could use it on a very large audience. They were able not only to influence people around them, but people all over the world. This was important to propaganda because it allowed people to get it around faster and more efficient.

The importance of movies in propaganda is they could have a stronger influence on people. It did not have the same effect as the radio stations. Not everyone saw movies, but they got more of an influence than radio. They used the movie to draw you in and get attached to the characters. They were able to make a story how they wanted to and told the actors what to say. It was able to sway your opinions based on the story being told. They could make the story how they wanted to make it. Therefore they could add propaganda.

The Birth of a Nation, directed by D.W. Griffith in 1915, is one of the most famous, and controversial movies, ever made. At the time, it was viewed as a technical marvel, and it was the first blockbuster. Crowds flocked to see it throughout the United States. Today, however, the film is most remembered for its racist portrayal of the period in American history after the Civil War known as Reconstruction.

During the late 1800's and early 1900's the automobile was made more affordable to allow people to become more mobile. Automobile Timeline

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Why yes actually it is, as a matter of fact it's the Wright brothers and the first successful plane flight ever.

In 1903, the wright brothers invented the first airplane that flew for 12 consecutive seconds but can not be credited for the first trans-Atlantic flight. The first trans-Atlantic flight was made by Charles A. Lindbergh. This flight was made in May 21, 1927 in the "Spirit of St. Louis"(Angelucci).
